Composite fiberglass felt mainly uses alkali-free glass fiber as raw material, adding composite fibers such as P84, PTFE, PPS, and aramid fibers based on glass fiber needle-punched felt. This makes the felt layer denser and strengthens the intertwining of fibers, allowing it to withstand higher filtering air velocities. It has excellent high-temperature resistance, flame retardancy, abrasion resistance, flexural resistance, corrosion resistance, and low gas filtration resistance, making it the preferred product for steelmaking, smelting, and flue gas filtration.

FMS (fluoromica) filter felt is a kind of glass fiber composite filter material, that combines the processing technology of glass fiber and chemical fiber filter materials, post-treatment technology, and chemical treatment technology to produce a three-dimensional structured glass fiber composite needle-punched felt. FMS filter material is made of glass fiber base fabric with glass fiber and other chemical fibers mixed as the fabric to make a high-temperature resistant composite needle-punched felt.
Technical characteristics of FMS (fluoro mica) filter material:
It can withstand high gas temperatures. Under normal circumstances, the operating temperature can be controlled at 240°C to 260°C, instant temperatures up to 280°C.
High filtration loads, with gas filtration loads of up to 60-90m3/m2 hour.
Very low operating resistance, making it more adaptable to changes in blast furnace fan air volume.
Hhigh-temperature resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and flexural resistance.
It has a long service life and significantly better cost-effectiveness than glass fiber needle-punched felt. It costs about 10-20% more than glass fiber needle-punched felt, but service life is more than twice as long under similar operating conditions.

Mitas Needle Felt is made from a blend of P84 fibers and other ultra-fine fibers, suitable for high-temperature gas filtration across various industries. Compared to other synthetic fiber high-temperature filter felts Mita's filter felt has improved processing techniques, utilizing the method of air forming to avoid the disadvantages of uneven fiber thickness caused by stretching, thus preserving the original tension of the fibers.
In comparison to conventional filter media, it has the following advantages:
Excellent high-temperature resistance: Capable of continuous operation below 180°C, with instantaneous working temperatures reaching up to 220°C.
Fire resistance: Decomposition begins at 400°C, with an oxygen limit index (LOI) of 30, preventing self-ignition.
Good chemical resistance: Resistant to acids, alkalis, and corrosion.
Dimensional stability: The expansion rate is only 1% at 230°C, exhibiting good stability at high temperatures.
Mita's filter felts are long-lasting, high-temperature dust removal bags suitable for a wide range of high-temperature filtration applications, maintaining high strength over extended periods. They are primarily used in industries such as asphalt, cement, steel, non-ferrous metals, lime, dust, metallurgy, drying, gravel, gypsum, plastics, black metallurgy, coke, shipbuilding, and tobacco.
